Western Australia has the only lottery in the nation, and one of the few in the world, where all the profits are returned back to the community.

In the 2019/20 financial year, Lotterywest distributed $118 million in direct grants to support the Western Australian community. Huge!

It prides itself on working with communities and sectors that support those in need, that amplify local strengths and opportunities and that build better, more connected communities. 

About the Fremantle Foundation

The Fremantle Foundation is a community-owned philanthropic organisation working in the for-purpose sector. It has been caring for the Fremantle and the broader WA community for over 10 years. 

To date, the Foundation has granted over $2.8 million dollars to NFPs in WA and has invested $2.5 million dollars of philanthropic funds for the long-term benefit of the community.    

The Fremantle Foundation operates as a registered charity and public ancillary fund, bringing together the financial resources of individuals, families and businesses to support effective not-for-profit organisations dedicated to improving the lives of people in our community.
