Join us for our first SIMNA webinar of 2022! Come along and listen to our panellists Rachel Scott, Maxine Morrison and Sarah Judd-Lam discuss some of the highlights and challenges of measuring social impact in a health services context.

At the end of the webinar, the Zoom room will remain open for networking and further discussion.

Measuring social outcomes is a vital part of the 'what has changed?' narrative in most 'for purpose' organisations. But how does this compare to the experience of measuring outcomes in health services?

This topic will be explored with our panellists, who will share how measuring social outcomes is opening up the conversation around data collection and 'research' and is demonstrating the difference their work is having on the lives of patients and service users.

MEET OUR PANELLISTS:

Our panellists are:

Rachel Scott, Head of Patient Experience, Children's Hospital Foundation

Rachel is the Head of Patient Experience for Children’s Hospital Foundation. She is responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of consumer led wellbeing services within a paediatric healthcare setting.

Rachel recently led the development of the Outcomes Measurement Framework for the Patient and Family Support services offered by the Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Foundation can now measure and report on social impact to the Queensland Children’s Hospital, their donors, and importantly the children and families who use the services.

Maxine Morrison, Trusts and Foundations Manager, Children's Medical Research Institute

Appointed the Trusts and Foundations Manager at Children’s Medical Research Institute in 2015, Maxine has been working with researchers and Philanthropy to engage and build meaningful relationships, achieving highly successful outcomes and raising millions of dollars for the Institute's work.

Since 2019, Maxine has been part of the Australian Association of Medical Research Institutes (AAMRI) - Research Impact Working Group. The Impact Working Group completed its Research Impact Framework and Report in May 2021.

Sarah Judd-Lam, Manager, Policy and Research, Carers NSW

Sarah Judd-Lam is Executive Manager Policy, Research and Projects at Carers NSW, the peak non-government organisation for family and friend carers in NSW. Her team is responsible for conducting evidence-based systemic advocacy activities to improve carer outcomes, leading and partnering in extensive carer-focused research opportunities and supporting program monitoring and evaluation within Carers NSW.

We look forward to seeing you there!
